childrens footwear connections?
Wondering if anyone out there has any connections to junior level or mid-level designers working for high end children’s footwear lines? Or contacts with sales reps who distribute to department stores in the same line of work (kids footwear). Any help would be appreciated !

Interesting follow up on Claire’s presentation including another interview. It is amazing how LCD and high-resolution screens have been manipulated and devleoped to create cameras that in fact, have no lens at all… In this case, it is an LCD screen that records position and orientation relative to the actors. Only about 25% of Avatar was filmed using traditional performances on set....

Pixel Roller Response →
Found an article mentioning the pixel roller which included another video gallery so you can see current works in progress. This is a really interesting technology because I feel it can really change how we learn about and create art in a school-setting. The more digital and efficient making art becomes, I feel the more accessible it will be to everyone and hopefully art programs will be better...

The Future of e-Books
While there were many interesting ideas in Nick Bilton’s presentation, the comment on how the brain interacts with e-Books seemed most intriguing. Not only am I an avid reader but I have often been interested in neuroscience, though never quite sure what some of it meant! The effects of e-Books on the brain don’t seem to be harsh, in fact encouraging reading in any form is good for the brain. The...

Photo composites
Considering a few options for our photo composites in class… might incorporate my horse into this project! And also going to check out whether the outdoor pools are open at the apartment complex… Could be fun, and cold! But otherwise I will be looking for some good locations on campus to jump into…. Maybe the running paths in the woods? Tennis courts? Or just the lounges in the...
ChatRoulette
Chat Roulette’s social gamble may make it appealing and attractive to the masses. It has become one of the most recent phenomenon to hit the Internet of late. The idea of taking a gamble on who you may meet is exciting and thrilling. Connecting people across the world, chat roulette is unique in that you can immediately next someone upon first impression: seeing a person’s face. This...

Response to Clay Shirky Video:
This video comments on the growth rate of information and how society absorbs this information every year and is still surprised by the abundance of resources. The idea that we see the same information, the same charts, and the same growth rates is not a coincidence. In relation to other articles and videos we have been exposed to, recirculation has never been more...

If you ever wondered how producer Swizz Beatz flipped Justice’s awesome track “D.A.N.C.E”. into “On To The Next One”, this video will explain it. The transition is about two minutes.
Really interesting… Not sure if I quite believe it, though I only listened to the transition once but I wouldnt be too surprised since sampling is so prevalent and has basically permeated...

Polaroid and the Upper West Side
fromme-toyou:
Manhattan’s Upper West Side is synonymous with timelessness. Photographing something timeless allows the photographer to choose how to capture these moments and share them, either referencing a time passed or the present. While nothing can last forever, the look of it may be able to transcend time and place, and come to rest in a space more suited for our memories than...
